U.S. Representative Sheri Biggs

U.S. Representative Sheri Biggs, a Republican, has represented South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District since 2025. Elected in 2024, she is the first woman to represent this district and only the third woman from South Carolina elected to the House. Biggs serves on the Homeland Security, Foreign Affairs, and Science, Space, and Technology Committees in Congress. Her legislative priorities include border security, fiscal responsibility, veterans' care, and mental health services.

Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, in 1970, Biggs earned a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministries from Carolina College of Biblical Studies and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Samford University. She has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, including roles as an ICU nurse, licensed nursing home administrator, and health services consultant. She is also a board-certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
